It’s time to celebrate Canada Day and The Fourth of July! Depending on which side of the border you live on. We enjoy our neighbours across the border so much, we might join in on both holidays! My family has plans of camping over the long weekend but we will make a special trip back in order to watch the parade. Along with our other favourites such as the farmer’s market, vendors and other family friendly activities in the park.
This time of year we enjoy keeping the heat outdoors and use the grill as much as possible. Rather than steaming our corn on the cob, I place it right on the gill alongside burgers or hotdogs for an easy, laid back dinner on the patio or at the campsite. Grilling corn is super simple! Keep the grill on medium heat and just keep turning the corn occasionally to get nice char marks.
For this Cheesy Ranch Corn on the Cob, I gave our usual butter and salt a break and brought out the Litehouse® Homestyle Ranch and some parmesan cheese. This famous Ranch dressing is our family’s favourite and our fridge is never without it! It’s a nice blend of fresh herb and vegetable flavours. The dressing is so versatile! A quick search will yield countless recipes.
