If there is one thing that I despise it’s a boring meal. I’m always looking for new ways to dress things up and get creative with my food and I think I hit the summertime jackpot with these tasty hot dogs that I’m dubbing the Ranch Lovers Hot Dogs. I love that they are colorful but also put a world of flavors together for a salty, crunchy meal that is perfect for the summer!
Coming from a city that is close to the Windy City of Chicago I have always been a fan of Chicago-style hot dogs that are loaded with goodies. There is no ketchup on a Chicago-dog, but you get mustard, relish, onion, hot peppers, tomato and so much more. This was the inspiration behind my Ranch Lovers Hot Dogs. Given that Litehouse has turned me into a total ranch-head, I find myself not being able to get enough of their Homestyle Ranch dressing. I need to find a way to get more of it outside of just salads.
I decided to toss the Homestyle Ranch dressing with some crunchy cabbage as the base for my hot dogs and then top them off with an extra drizzle of ranch. In between all this goodness are grilled hot dogs, salty potato chips, spicy sport peppers and sliced green onions. This may seem like an odd combination but I promise, one bite and you’ll be hooked all summer long!
