Fruit kabobs are a fun party dish that looks beautiful and is super easy. Drizzle this lime and basil sweet syrup over the top and you’ve got a recipe everyone will be asking for!
3 cups of diced watermelon
1 small pineapple (about 3 cups diced)
1 pint blueberries
3 cups grapes
16 oz. strawberries, stems trimmed
2 cups diced melon
2 Tbs. lime juice
1 tsp. lime zest
½ cup water
½ cup sugar
12-16 skewers (12")
1 tsp. Litehouse® Instantly Fresh Basil
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the water and sugar. Bring to a boil and let boil for one minute. Remove from heat and add the basil, lime juice and zest. Stir. Place the syrup in an airtight container and let sit in the fridge until cool, about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, skewer the diced fruits on the kabobs, alternating to include a few pieces of each fruit until all the fruit is on the kabobs. Place on platter, sprinkle with remaining blueberries. Drizzle the lime-basil syrup over the kabobs and enjoy!
