Caramelized Pear and Gorgonzola Tarts Recipe

Caramelized pears and shallots paired with Gorgonzola make this a perfectly crisp appetizer.

Ingredients
  • 1 eaPhyllo Cups, package (12 count)
  • 2 eaBosch pears, medium and diced
  • ¼ cupShallots, diced
  • 2 tbspButter
  • ⅓ cupLitehouse® Gorgonzola Crumbles
  • ¼ cupWalnuts, chopped
  • 1 eaSalt

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Lay out the phyllo cups on a lined baking sheet. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and add in the pears and shallots. Season with salt. Cook over low heat for 15-20 minutes to caramelize. Divide the pears and shallots evenly among the phyllo cups. Divide the Litehouse® Gorgonzola Crumbles and walnuts evenly to top the phyllo cups. Bake for 15 minutes and serve.
