When I go to a restaurant, one of the appetizers I typically order is nachos. There is just something about a crispy chip with loads of crunch, flavourful sauce and loads upon loads of cheese and delicious savoury toppings. So so good!
I was inspired by the new Litehouse® Sesame Miso Dressing & Dip to create my own version of one of the best appetizers ever, but with an Asian spin. I enjoyed these Asian Chicken Nachos even more than the nachos I get from my favourite restaurant!
I used wonton wrappers instead of tortilla chips to fit with the Asian theme. You can find them in the produce section at your local grocery store. To make them crispy, you simply bake them in the oven after they’ve been brushed with sesame oil. It’s super easy! I’d even make them just for dipping into the Litehouse® Sesame Miso Dressing & Dip if I was feeling a little lazy that day.
I selected veggie toppings that also fit the theme. I didn’t cook them because I thought they’d taste better with a fresh crunch. I love the vibrance they add to the platter. It makes for a very impressive and colourful appetizer.
For the chicken, I baked the chicken breasts in Litehouse® Sesame Miso Dressing & Dip and then shredded the chicken after it cooled.
The sauce is the easiest part of the recipe. It’s simply Litehouse® Sesame Miso Dressing & Dip. Yep, that’s it! Drizzle on as much or as you like. I like my nachos extra saucy so I put a little extra on.
Each bite is crunchy and fresh flavour explosion! We sat down one night and watched a movie and devoured them. They would be great to serve for entertaining or when you are craving something a little on the non-traditional side.
Next time you are looking for something fun and different to try, make this recipe. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family did!
