Steaks with Creamy Blue Cheese Sauce Recipe

Serves 4 | Finish in 65 minutes

These crumbles add loads of rich and creamy flavor to classic summer grilling favorites. I used Litehouse® Simply Artisan Blue Cheese Crumbles to make a delectable sauce for topping grilled steaks. My husband loves to grill so he was happy to make the steaks while I whipped up the sauce (recipe below)!


  • Steaks of choice, for grilling 
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 2 Cloves Garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Butter
  • 1 Yellow Onion, sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. White Mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 c. Heavy Cream
  • 1 tsp. Dijon Mustard 
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1/2 c. Litehouse® Simply Arisan Blue Cheese Crumbles
  • Fresh Thyme, stems removed (optional garnish)


Salt and pepper both sides of the steaks and top with garlic. Grill until medium rare (or your desired level of doneness). Melt butter in a skillet over medium high heat. Add onions and mushrooms and sauté until brown and caramelized, about 10 minutes. Reduce heat to simmer and add heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook until reduced by half. Add Litehouse Blue Cheese Crumbles and stir until melted. Add salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh thyme (optional). Pour sauce over cooked steaks and enjoy!
