Delight holiday guests with Salted Caramel Fresh Fruit dripped in Litehouse Old Fashioned Caramel Dip or one of several other caramel dips for a sweet and wholesome treat.
1 lb. whole strawberries
2 tangerines, peeled and separated into sections
2 bananas, peeled and cut into 10 pieces
1 Tbsp. course sea salt or Fleur de Sel
1 lb. grapes (optional)
½ lb. raspberries (optional)
Litehouse® Old Fashioned Caramel (or any Litehouse® Caramel)
Start with clean fruit dried in a salad spinner or dabbed dry with a paper towel. Pour caramel into a microwave-safe bowl and warm Litehouse® caramel in 2 to 3 15-second increments until caramel is soft. Dip each piece of fruit in caramel so that the bottom half-inch to inch of the fruit is covered with caramel. Arrange fruit on serving tray. Insert toothpick in each banana slice before dipping banana pieces in caramel. For a frozen fruit tray, place wax paper on cookie sheets (insert toothpicks in banana slices before freezing). Freeze fruit for at least one hour. Dip fruit in Litehouse® caramel and place on serving tray immediately before serving.
