Jalapeño Ranch Green Bean Casserole

Serves 10 | Finish in 40 minutes

The classic green bean casserole is revamped using fresh green beans and no canned soups. With chopped jalepeños for a little kick and the classic French fried onions for crunch, this recipe is better than the original!

  • 7-8 c. Diced Fresh Green Beans
  • 2 Jalapeños, deseeded and chopped
  • 3 tbsp. Butter
  • 3 tbsp. Flour
  • 1 c. Milk
  • ½ c. Litehouse® Jalapeño Ranch Dressing
  • ½ c. Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 c. French Fried Onions
  • ½ tsp. Salt
  • ½ tsp. Pepper

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Wash and dice fresh green beans and boil for about 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a saucepan and whisk in the flour. Add the milk and dressing to the saucepan and whisk the mixture for a few minutes over medium heat until it becomes a gravy-like consistency.
  4. Drain the green beans and sprinkle with ½ tsp salt. Add the green beans to a 9x13 pan and toss with the gravy mixture. Top the green bean casserole with the cheese and fried onions. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
