Grilled Fig, Prosciutto & Blue Cheese Pizzas

Serves 4 | Finish in 20 minutes

Everyone knows the traditional tastes of sweet, sour, salty and bitter. But, have you experienced the “delicious essence” of umami, the enigmatic fifth taste receptor? Try this fast and flavorful Grilled Fig, Prosciutto & Blue Cheese Pizza recipe and enjoy a mouthful of complex, crave-worthy taste. Now that’s umami!


4 pieces Naan Indian flatbread (typically available in bakery department)
1 Tbsp. olive oil
¼ cup fig jam
4 oz.  Prosciutto, very thinly sliced
¼ cup finely slice red onion
1 (4-oz) container Litehouse® Blue Cheese Crumbles
2 cups baby lettuce mix

Top off with Litehouse Pear Gorgonzola Vinaigrette Dressing 


Preheat charcoal or gas grill to 400º F.  Lightly brush bottoms of Naan bread with olive oil. Spread each top with 1 Tbsp. of fig jam.  Cut thin-sliced prosciutto into narrow strips, place evenly on each pizza.
Sprinkle tops with red onion and Litehouse® Blue Cheese.  Place on heated grill and cook for 10 minutes or until cheese is beginning to melt and bubble.
To serve, top each pizza with ½ cup lettuce and cut into wedges.
