Skin Boosting Spinach Fruit and Nut Salad

How’s your skin looking these days? It is National Healthy Skin Month so now is the time to take a close look! Just because the strong summer sun is gone doesn’t mean your skin is in the clear. Dermatologists warn against the winter sun and its damaging affects, especially for those who partake in winter sports such as skiing. Applying a good slather of high SPF sunblock every day is crucial to protecting against the sun’s harmful rays.

Along with regular 6 month check-ups, dermatologists also recommend getting to know your skin on an intimate level. Become familiar with your moles and freckles. What shape are they, what size, what color? Perform a monthly check-in with your moles looking for any changes in their size, shape, and color. These are the first signs of a skin problem that needs to be addressed. Booking an appointment with your Dermatologist immediately upon finding a worrisome mole highly increases your chance of survival should dangerous cancer cells be found.
