Pizza Quiche with Litehouse Herbs

This Pizza Quiche recipe is incredibly versatile and makes a delicious meal to serve your family. My family adores pizza, but even that can get boring after a while. That’s the main reason I try to mix things up a little on the menu and create new recipes out of old favourites.

Even the picky kids like this recipe. Who doesn’t love the flavours of pizza? My kids would eat that every day if they could. It’s a delicious pizza twist that you can easily make your own to suit your family’s tastes.

I’m all about keeping things as simple as possible when I’m preparing meals. I used a premade frozen pie shell for this recipe to save on time (and effort). However, you could totally make your own pie crust if that’s your forte. Either way, it will be tasty!

I also love using Litehouse® Freeze Dried Garlic because I don’t have to peel or mince garlic. It tastes fresh and amazing when cooked in recipes. Bonus – I don’t have smelly garlic fingers!

Our favourite pizza toppings are mushrooms, green peppers, onions, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. If you aren’t a fan of any of these ingredients, feel free to exclude and/or substitute your favourites. Cooked, crumbled bacon, ground beef, ham or other veggies would be yummy. Whatever works for you and your family!

I like to use heavy cream versus milk in this recipe because it adds an extra layer of creaminess to the egg mixture. You can substitute milk though if you don’t have any on hand.

Each slice of Pizza Quiche will have the pie crust base followed by a layer of pizza sauce (canned is fine!), then a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese. The egg and veggie mixture are next and finished off with a topping of pepperoni.

It bakes for 30 minutes in the oven and is ready to serve in 5 minutes. I recommend letting it cool for about 5 minutes because it will be hot right from the oven.
