Bacon Caramel Apple Baked Brie

It’s true, everything makes bacon better. Bacon is quite becoming on a burger and so beckoning on a pile of scrambled eggs. And, who wouldn’t have big love for little shrimp wrapped in bacon?! Even number-crunching data geeks at Wired.com have confirmed that recipes featuring the word bacon in the title are indeed “better” as evidenced by higher ratings on cooking websites. Today, I’m sharing a better baked brie recipe featuring all my favorite fall-flavors such as caramel and apples — and bacon!

Bacon aside, it’s pretty hard to dismiss the merits of caramel and apples paired up together. This delicious duo conjures up images of crisp air, hayrides and sweet family gatherings. Of all the mouthwatering caramel dip varieties from Litehouse Foods, you can’t go wrong with the Old-Fashioned Caramel Dip – this sweet buttery awesomesauce tastes just the way grandmother’s secret recipe did. Since my recipe for Bacon Caramel Apple Baked Brie doesn’t use the whole tub, the leftovers can be enjoyed with fruit or warmed up and drizzled over ice cream. I’ve even stirred in a tablespoon of caramel into my hot coffee to create a frugal, at-home coffee shop experience.
