Get ready for fall with this simple apple cider sangria! Sangria is one of my favorite cocktails as it is lighter in alcohol than most mixed drinks, while still being big on taste. Crisp and refreshing, this honey crisp apple cider sangria is my go-to, signature drink for fall.
Apple Cider is one of my favorite fall treats and something I look forward to every year. We usually go apple-picking at least a few times in September and October, and coming home to bake apple treats and enjoy apple cider sangria is one of the highlights.
Of all the apple varieties, honey crispy apples are one of my favorites— nothing can beat their crisp, slightly sweet taste. When I’m not enjoying them in this sangria, I like to make honey crisp grilled cheese and honey crisp apple salads with pecans, greens, goat cheese, and apple cider dressing.
Litehouse’s Honey Crisp Apple Cider has a sweet but tart flavor. It’s made from 100% cold pressed Northwest apples, and tastes delicious chilled in this sangria or warmed as a hot beverage. For a non-alcoholic treat, warm the Honey Crisp Apple Cider with a few cinnamon sticks and a dollop of whipped cream on top.
The ginger flavored sparkling water really takes this apple cider sangria over the top, so try and grab it if you can. If you cannot find ginger flavored, apple flavored sparkling water or plain club soda will also work. Feel free to omit the brandy entirely for a white wine spritzer version, or sub in ginger flavored or apple flavored brandy.
Whatever your plans are for fall this year, I know you will love this simple honey crisp apple cider sangria! Ready in just minutes— mix everything together and pour over lots of ice and fresh diced apples. I prefer a mild white wine, like pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc in this recipe but almost any white wine will work!
