Pancakes are one of my family’s favorite breakfast items. You can find me making them at least once a month on the weekend. Whatever we have left over, I’ll freeze to reheat for easy homemade breakfasts throughout the week. As we usher in the cooler weather what better way to do it than by using the Litehouse® Pumpkin Spice Caramel Dip to transform everyday pancakes into something spectacular. If you're a fan of the flavor of pumpkin spice, you’ll love these pancakes. Each bite of the pancake on its own has a slight pumpkin spice taste, and then you get the creamy pockets of chocolate chips. If you really love pumpkin spice, you can add a nice slather of the Litehouse® Pumpkin Spice Caramel Dip, plus whipped cream, chopped pecans and more mini chocolate chips!
4 Ways to Spruce Up Pancakes
If you’re looking to take your pancakes to the next level, I have four different ways to spruce up pancakes the next time you make them for breakfast!
- Pumpkin Spice Caramel Chocolate Chip Pancakes - the recipe for these fall-inspired pancakes can be found below. To add to the flavors of fall, I slathered a nice amount of the Litehouse® Pumpkin Spice Caramel Dip on top of the pancakes plus added whipped cream, chopped pecans and mini chocolate chips.
- Bananas Fosters Pancakes - You can use this same recipe for pancakes but sub the Litehouse® Pumpkin Spice Caramel Dip for Litehouse® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip. After the pancakes are done, slice bananas and cook with butter and brown sugar until golden in color. Once the bananas are done cooking, top each pancake with a dollop of Litehouse® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip and the caramelized bananas.
- Tropical Pancakes – Use a base pancake recipe, then top the pancakes with Litehouse® Old Fashioned Caramel Dip, diced fresh pineapple and mango’s, chopped macadamia nuts, and toasted shredded coconut flakes.
- Vanilla Almond Pancakes - these yogurt based pancakes are delicious. Topped with Opadipity Vanilla Almond dip plus additional granola and even some fresh berries. For a fun twist on a yogurt parfait, but pancake style!
If you love all things pumpkin and want to try something that channels the flavors of fall, I hope you’ll give this recipe for Pumpkin Spice Caramel–Chocolate Chip Pancakes a try.
