Purpose and Scope

The Recruiter serves as a key business partner in leading and managing all aspects of the talent acquisition process and procedures across the organization.   This position will be responsible for full life-cycle recruiting; developing strong recruiting strategies in support of organizational staffing objectives, building a talent pipeline, screening candidates and placement of new employee owners in a timely manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely and build relationships with hiring managers, key stakeholders and outside recruiting agencies to develop a strong sourcing strategy for each requisition.

  • Gain a full understanding of each department and position within the manufacturing facilities and corporate office, becoming a subject matter expert as it relates to all areas of the recruitment process.

  • Possess and continuously develop knowledge of progressive and current trends, the market place and local job market trends as it relates to sourcing and hiring candidates.

  • Build a robust network of top talent, gain market intelligence and assess candidates to gauge talent alignment for a specific position and/or department ensuring employee owner fit.

  • Conduct talent searches through strategic sourcing (social media, networking, cold-calling, job boards, relationships, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain extensive and effective networks within professional associations and within the subject matter expert communities to ensure a continuous flow of candidates.

  • Schedule, coordinate and attend job fairs with local organizations, technical colleges, universities etc.

  • Review resumes and credentials for skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements.

  • Pre-screen candidates; create and present pre-screening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval.

  • Manage and coordinate communication and scheduling logistics between candidates, hiring managers and Human Resources Managers.

  • Complete reference checks and employment verifications on selected candidates prior to extending an offer of employment.

  • Extend offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of hiring managers and Human Resources Managers in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation on all candidates, talent searches, hiring manager interactions and other recruiting activities to ensure accurate record keeping and audit purposes.

  • Manage candidate activity in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

  • Provide weekly reporting to HR team leadership and hiring managers on recruitment activity and status.


  • Develop performance measures to define recruiting progress and success; report on key milestones, establish ongoing reporting requirements and key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics to track ROI.

  • Partner closely with the Human Resources and Manufacturing Teams to champion the Litehouse “People” culture, drive employee engagement and performance and enhance the overall employee experience.

  • Serve as an employee and Brand ambassador and manufacturing HR subject matter expert and resource.

  • Lead and ensure all departments comply with both physical and food safety guidelines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications Required to Perform Work:

  • Bachelor’s degree and PHR or SPHR preferred

  • 3-5+ years direct recruiting experience; experience recruiting within a manufacturing and sales environment strongly preferred

  • Direct Human Resources experience preferred with Operations and/or Manufacturing background

  • Strong leader and role model with proactive results based style and well-developed strategic sense

  • Direct working knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems, Alchemy and ADP preferred


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven ability to establish strong credibility and build relationships cross-functionally

  • Effective multi-tasker adept at prioritizing and exceptionally detailed oriented

  • Organizational astuteness and proven ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Prior experience working with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).

  • Proven working knowledge of P&L and its components, KPI’s and measurement metrics

  • Strong Manufacturing acumen (e.g. best practices, production, equipment, processes)

  • Ability to work under critical deadlines and heavy workloads with minimal supervision

  • Comprehensive understanding of progressive workforce dynamics and trends in Human Resources

  • Possess team-building skills; the ability to gain consensus and deliver results with and through people.

  • Strong leadership skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities and excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills are essential

  • Strong results-orientation and commitment to quality, performance and deliverables

  • Familiarity with food and safety regulations

  • Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Visio

  • Frequently required to sit, use hand to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear

  • Occasionally required to stand and walk, lift and/or move up to 10 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities require close, distance, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts

  • Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times very loud

  • Regular overnight travel required (up to 30%)
