Slow Cooker Ginger Honey Wings with Baked Carrot & Zucchini Chips

This is Litehouse’s favorite time of year because we can make things like this epic Healthy Snack Party Stadium for the Superbowl and we get to crown a winner of “Munch Madness,” here in a few months! The final Munch Madness match of 2015 came down to Litehouse’s Instantly Fresh Basil and the new OPA by Litehouse Feta Dill dressing. Basil was ultimately crowned the 2015 winner! With all of the new Litehouse products that hit shelves this year, I’m excited to see what product will be crowned the winner of 2016. Litehouse’s Organic Honey Ginger dressing is perfect on an asian-style salad, but also on these Ginger Honey Wings that are cooked in the slow cooker with only three other ingredients: chicken wings, soy sauce and honey. Let the wings cook for about two hours on high and you’ve got the perfect game day appetizer with no extra fat from frying. To get crispy skin, simply broil the wings for a few minutes after cooking in the slow cooker.


Chips are the perfect game-day food, especially dunked in delicious Litehouse dips and dressings. Well we’ve got a healthier version of chips for you too! I will give a disclaimer, baked carrot and zucchini chips will probably not replace your love for your favorite chips, but they are a healthier alternative that still gives that salty crunch!


These veggie “chips” are made by thinly slicing carrots and zucchini and placing them on a single layer on a baking sheet. Brush the veggies with olive oil and bake them at a low temperature until they are crispy. Baking temperatures vary, so check on your veggie chips every twenty minutes to make sure they don’t get burned!

Slow Cooker Ginger Honey Wings with Baked Carrot & Zucchini Chips Recipe

Serves 25 Wings | Finish in 2.5 Hours


3 lbs. chicken wings and drumettes
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce
1 1/2 cups Litehouse Organic Ginger with Honey Dressing
Carrot and Zucchini Chips
2 medium zucchini
2 medium carrots
2 Tbls extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp salt


1. Heat oven to 200.
2. Combine the chicken wings, honey, soy sauce and Litehouse dressing in a slow cooker and cook on high for 2 hours.
3. Meanwhile, using a mandolin, thinly slice the zucchini and carrots.
4. Pat the zucchini with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
5. Arrange the carrots and zucchini on parchment-lined baking sheets and brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with salt.
6. Bake until crispy, checking every 20 minutes.
7. Place the cooked wings on a baking rack placed in a baking sheet and broil until crispy.
8. Serve with Litehouse Organic Ranch
