Build a Better BLT: Avocado Ranch BLT

There are a handful of summertime meals that bring me back to my childhood including cheeseburgers straight from the grill, fresh corn on the cob and BLT sandwiches with ripe tomatoes and crispy bacon. These are still some of my favorite summer meals even today but of course, I’m always looking for ways to turn the ordinary into extraordinary! My latest creation: Avocado Ranch BLTs!

One of the things that I love about Litehouse’s extensive line of salad dressings is that they always give me inspiration for my meals. I wasn’t really sure how I would use their Avocado Ranch dressing outside of a southwest salad and then I thought about how delicious it would be as a replacement for mayonnaise on a BLT! Spreading a layer of this creamy dressing on your bread before piling it high with more bacon, lettuce and tomato makes for an amazing sandwich. And if you’re feeling a little ‘extra’ I suggest a few slices of fresh avocado!

Quick family meals during the summer never have to be boring in my book. I also like to use this Avocado Ranch dressing on my tacos, scrambled eggs for breakfast and as an enhanced dip for veggies! There really is no wrong way to use ranch dressing. You might even consider stirring into your guacamole for an extra creamy double-avocado delight.

If you want to impress your friends and family with a simple summertime meal, then serve up BLT sandwiches with a side of Avocado Ranch. They’ll be asking for seconds!

BLT Sandwiches with Litehouse Avocado Ranch Dressing Recipe

Serves 4 | Finish in 15 minutes

 Impress your family by dressing up a sandwich classic with flavorful Avocado Ranch dressing!


  • 12 slices Bacon, cooked crispy
  • 8 slices Italian Bread
  • 2 Ripe Tomatoes, sliced thin
  • Iceberg Lettuce
  • 1 ripe Avocado, sliced thin
  • Litehouse® Avocado Ranch dressing


  1. Lightly toast the slices of bread and lay them out between 4 places. Spread Avocado Ranch dressing onto 4 slices of bread.
  2. Top the dressed slices of bread each with 3 slices of bacon, tomato slices and iceberg lettuce. Top each sandwich with a few slices of avocado and place the undressed sliced of bread on top of the sandwiches to finish them off. Serve immediately.
