Litehouse shakes up specialty cheese with first shakeable soft cheese in a convenient, no waste container

SANDPOINT, IDAHO (April 25, 2016) – Cheese lovers have a new reason to enjoy delicious soft cheese in salads, soups and other recipes. New from Litehouse’s Simply Artisan Reserve brand is Simple Seasons, the first real, finely crumbled soft cheese in a convenient, no waste, shakeable glass jar.

To add Simple Seasons to any dish, just flip one of the two side flaps on the glass jar to sprinkle a little or a lot of feta or blue cheese to enhance any dish or recipe. Made by the master cheese crafters at Litehouse, who have been making cheese for over 50 years, Simple Seasons has just five ingredients: milk, salt, culture, enzymes and an agent to prevent caking.

“We are excited to share this innovation that allows consumers to easily and conveniently enjoy soft cheese without creating waste,” added Margi Gunter, Brand Manager. “Now with a simple flick of the wrist, you can add just the right amount of cheese to everything from burgers to salads and soups.”

Available in May at specialty deli cases in blue cheese and feta flavors, Simple Seasons has a SRP of $5.49 per jar.

With its proud heritage in cheese craftsmanship, Simply Artisan was created by Litehouse, Inc. in 2014 to showcase its wide array of deli cheese products. Cheesemaker Marvin Sharp brings more than 35 years of experience to the Simply Artisan family of products, which includes cheese crumble cups, cheese crumble pouches, center cuts, wheels and shakeable cheese. The award winning line has received many industry accolades, including first place at the American Cheese Society’s prestigious 2015 Cheese Contest for its Simply Artisan Reserve Blue Cheese.
