3 Easy Roll-Ups To Feed The Tailgating Crowd

What is it about tailgating that makes everyone so insatiably hungry? Maybe it’s the intense energy that builds as each minute goes by, getting closer and closer to game time. Or, perhaps, it’s simply a nostalgia thing. Either way, one thing is absolutely certain: when tailgating, you’ve got to have enough food on deck to feed the crowd.

Even the best tailgate recipes can fall flat–that’s definitely not what we want. So, if you’re looking for easy tailgate recipes that appeal to an array of personalities, roll-ups are the way to go. Not only are they simple to make, but they can be customized to suit whoever shows up at the party. For these yummy roll-ups, you’ll want to hit the kitchen the morning of gameday and refrigerate them until it’s go-time. And it could go without saying, but we’ll say it anyway: customize these tailgating recipes however you want!

1. Cheddar Turkey Ranch Roll Up

This roll-up is a must-have for the spread, an easy crowd-pleaser, and a customizable tailgate recipe. To make these, spread a layer of Ranch Dressing on a 12” tortilla, then layer 3-4 slices of turkey breast and cover in a single layer. Lightly press the turkey down, so it doesn’t slip out, and follow up with the toppings. Make sure everything is packed down so it won’t fall apart as you cut the pinwheels using a serrated knife.

2. Shredded Chicken & Bacon Garlic Ranch Roll Up

It’s tough to go wrong with bacon at a tailgate, and these roll-ups are packed with savory, bacon-y flavor. You can use shredded chicken or slice up some leftover rotisserie for this recipe. As for the bacon, you’ll want to make sure it’s cooked long enough to be deliciously crispy before chopping.

First, start by spreading a layer of Garlic Ranch Dressing on your 12” tortilla, then sprinkle your bacon bits on top before layering on the shredded chicken and following with shredded cheddar cheese. Next, roll up, and slice into wheels using a serrated knife.

What you’ll need:

3. Steak & Blue Cheese Roll Up

Start by combining mayonnaise, blue cheese crumbles, horseradish, and black pepper in a bowl. Mix well, cover, and pop in the fridge for about 30 minutes. In another bowl, create a lettuce mix by combining lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. Next, season your steak with salt and pepper, and sauté until your desired degree is done. Let the meat stand for about 5 minutes, then cut it into 1-inch pieces.

To assemble the roll-up, spread your mayo mixture evenly across the tortilla, then add your steak and lettuce mixture. Next, carefully roll up the tortilla and cut it using a serrated knife.
